Alpha
Alpha is a ten-week practical course on the Christian faith for both
recent believers and those who have believed for most of their lives. An
evening at Alpha involves dinner, group teaching, and small-group
discussion. The ten-week course also includes a weekend retreat. Alpha
topics for discussion include:
-Christianity: Boring, Untrue, and Irrelevant?
-Who is Jesus?
-How Can I Be Sure of My Faith?
-Why and How Should I Read the Bible?
-Why and How Do I Pray?
-How Does God Guide Us?
-Who is the Holy Spirit?
-How Can I Be Filled with the Spirit?
-What Does the Holy Spirit Do?
-How Can I Resist Evil?
-Why and How Should We Tell Others the Gospel?
-What About the Church?
Peace Lutheran offers two Alpha courses per year - one in the spring and
one in the fall. All are welcome at Alpha - both men and women - to
learn more about Christian faith and grow together through discussion.
