opportunities to serve during worship:

Please pray about your gifts and how God might be blessed by your

please call the church office at 479-636-2140
Altar Guild
Altar Guild is a group of members who
prepare the altar for the worship service, bake the communion bread,
dress the altar in appropriate colors for the church season, prepare the
trays that hold the wine or juice cups, and set up the font for Baptism.
Audio/Visual
RAVE: Radical Audio/Visual Expressions
In this day of ever-changing technology, Peace is excited to be on the
cutting edge of audio/visual usage. We are always in need of patient,
caring individuals who are willing to work behind the scenes in the
ministries of sound and visual media. Using these methods cuts down on
the use of paper and enhances worship for the hard of hearing.
Audio/Visual media also give those computer people an opportunity
for creativity in production of worship. Please contact the church
office at 479-636-2140.
Fine Arts
& Drama
We use the arts to express
the majesty and glory of our Lord through making and hanging banners in
the Worship Centers, participating in dramatic presentations, making
wooden Baptismal crosses, handkerchiefs, backdrops and through stained
glass art.
Funerals
Memorial Services at Peace Lutheran Church are conducted with dignity
and beauty to the glory of God. Contact the church office immediately
when the need for a funeral arises. We will work with the funeral home
to make this process as painless and spirit-filled as possible for you
and your family. You may want to make arrangements in advance and leave
them in confidence with the pastor. The arrangements might include
favorite Bible passages, music, how payment is to be made, who is
executor of an estate, and burial or cremation details. Making
arrangements early can save time and stress later.
Weddings

If you would like organ music to add a touch of tradition and elegance
to your wedding ceremony, please contact the Music Director as soon as
possible. We can arrange for our church organist to play for your
service and help select music from a wide variety of resources. The
church organist should be your first option out of courtesy to the
organist’s position in the church. If the church organist is not
available, the Music Director will arrange for another organist. Any
outside organist will need to be approved by the Music Director.
The Pastor, the Music Director, and the organist will be glad to
help you select music that is appropriate to the Christian worship
setting. Instrumental and vocal music is not entertainment or background
music; it is praise music to God. Congregational hymns may be used if
desired. Vocal or instrumental solos should reinforce the spiritual
significance of the wedding service. Our Music Director will make
instrumental and vocal arrangements. The final approval of all music at
the wedding rests with the pastor and the Music Director.
