Mission Plan

"Growing with God's Grace."

On June 26, 2011, the Peace Lutheran Church congregation adopted by overwhelming majority a two-year Mission Plan which includes the following features:

· Reopen Peace West facility for small group ministry meetings and continued usage by the youth

· Sell vacant 10 acres and utilize funds to reduce existing debt and reinvest in Peace East through needed renovation.

· Keep the three existing services of 5:00 pm on Saturday, and 8:30 am and 11:00 am on Sunday as-is and held at Peace East

· Investigate new missions for Peace West that build on current ministry assets. By focusing on existing assets, we limit the risk of “splitting” the congregation.

· Identify the interest in a true Contemporary service that is not liturgical in nature. An outcome of this exploration could be a service at Peace West at a time that best suits the interests of the community.

· Offer use of Peace West facilities as the office for Pastor Joe Liles, Northwest Arkansas’ new ELCA Mission Developer.

· Secure the temporary services of Jessica Liles, Seminary graduate in Children’s’ and Family ministry, for the development of Children and Family programming.

The Mission Plan also includes detailed recommendations in the areas of worship, small groups, Via de Cristo, prayer, fellowship, media outreach, counseling, food pantry, youth ministry, children's and family ministry, preschool, and administration.
