Bomb Group, Army Air Corps in WWII
Their B24 was on their 31st and next to the last mission when
their plane took a direct hit, the wing was shot off. 10 men bailed out
and were captured and became German Prisioners of War in July 1944. They
were liberated at the war's end in 1945; submitted by Reba Patanella
