When Are We Going to Build Our New Church?

 Estimated cost: $5.1mm
    – 30,000sq ft
 Est. Value of PeaceEast $2.0mm

Current Giving Patterns:

 General giving last 52wks: $604,690
 Number of Households: 436
 Avg. Giving per Household: $1,387
 Avg. Attendance = 400 individuals/wknd


Current Budget:

 2007 Budget is $763,000
 2007 Pledges $639,000
 Balanced 2007 budget by using $93,000 from B.O.P. funds, and expecting new member growth of $31,000
    (Total of $124,000)
 Currently thru August, Revenues are $25,000 less than Expenses


Ongoing Operations:

 To cover the $124,000 budget shortfall on an ongoing basis:
    – Need to either increase giving by 20%
    – Or grow by an additional 89 households
 Growth beyond 20% will require more staff
    – Adding an Assoc. Pastor plus one additional full-time staff person = $124,000
    – To cover the growth, we need to grow by another 89 households before building


Adding It All Up:

 To cover the buildings we have now and add appropriate staff, we need to grow by 40% (178 households)
 Building a new church: If we financed $3.1mm for the new church:
    – Monthly payment would be $22,191 for 30 years at 7.75% APR ($266,352/year)
    – Each household would need to give an average of $435 per year to the building fund for 30 years


Renovation Projects:

 Painting the inside of PeaceEast was completed in June
 Remodel of Steel Building to support 3DC classrooms is about 98% complete
 PeaceEast Library moved and renovated
 PeaceEast Kitchen remodel will begin at the end of September
 Landscaping at PeaceEast in October
